In Crimea, the water problem has not been solved
Residents of the annexed peninsula deliberately break or spoil measuring devices, water their gardens, said the Russian deputy prime minister.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, after a visit to the annexed Crimea, said that the shortage of water on the peninsula was due to the fact that it was allegedly “stolen” by the Crimeans themselves, reports Krim.Realii.
“The key problem of losses is theft. This must also be done, if necessary, law enforcement agencies must be involved, it is necessary to take control of where the unauthorized fence comes from, where are the wrong measuring devices , where today people deliberately break or damage measuring devices, water their gardens. ” , – he said.
Khusnullin added that Crimeans “can have enough fresh water” if the authorities “eliminate 50 percent of the losses.”
The day before it became known that in annexed Crimea they are actively building the Beshterek-Zuisky water intake and the water pipeline for the needs of Simferopol.
It was previously reported that in Crimea, water supplies continue to decline, despite rains in October.
