– I completely agree. If we take the situation we got into, the team did not play a single match with the main squad, except for Switzerland in the first match. Today we entered the game very well, apart from the first 5-7 minutes, then there was some nervousness.
In general, we tried to play our football, sometimes it turned out very well. We play against a well organized team with fast flanks, fast players. They rebuilt the game a bit, they didn’t play as well as against us in Kiev. Today was a bit more difficult for us.
I think the guys were close to a draw somewhere. Because if the opportunities created were to materialize, perhaps they would deserve a draw.

– This is soccer. The most important thing is that we play according to the correct structure. We create moments, the team has a drawing. It’s a crazy experience for us to play with teams like this at this level. Despite all the situations, we had the opportunity to test many players. Many of them were very good.
– How seriously did you have to adjust the composition and structure of the game after the covid for four players?
– Definitely, we were missing four players, he hit us very hard. You don’t make a game plan based only on the main team. These are additional replacements. We had players who, as substitutes, strengthened the game. Today we didn’t have that.
We didn’t have enough players in many positions. We tried, if possible, to change someone at the end of the game, let them play, give someone a break. We will have a very difficult game in Switzerland, we will fight.
– Is there a possibility to call someone to the national team?
– I asked myself this question before the game. Now it is difficult to find staff. I think if there are no injuries, we will keep this lineup. We will go to the hotel and see it. Tomorrow a plane will fly from Kiev to pick up the infected players. This was one of the most important tasks of the morning.
There were many questions about all the protocols. We didn’t know what the future would bring, what to do with the players who had already been infected with the virus. Now we have a clear understanding, so we will come and think about it. We have time until the plane takes off in the morning.
