The causes of the fire in the hospital are not yet known
The fire spread through the intensive care unit dedicated to coronavirus patients.
In eastern Romania, in the city of Piatra Neamt, in one of the departments of a hospital for patients with coronavirus COVID-19, there was a fire that killed at least 10 people. This was reported by the Associated Press on Saturday, November 14.
According to Irina Popa, spokeswoman for the local emergency inspection, the fire has spread through the intensive care unit intended for patients with COVID-19.
Currently, special services employees are working at the scene of the tragedy. The causes of the fire, which has now been extinguished, are not yet known.
We will recall, in May this year in Russia there were three fires in hospitals, in which nine people died. Equipment in medical institutions, including those for coronavirus patients, became a source of fires.
Later it became known that American hospitals refused to use Russian fire-hazardous ventilators.
