On Friday, November 13, the police stopped the Boombox concert due to violation of quarantine restrictions.
This was reported by the press service of the police of the Lviv region on Facebook.
“While monitoring social media, the police found a message that a concert was taking place in one of Lviv’s nightclubs in violation of anti-epidemic measures,” the report says.
It is noted that the visitors were not kept at a distance, and some were in the hall without masks.
A protocol was drawn up against the organizer of the event under art. 44-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine (violation of the rules of quarantine of persons). He faces punishment in the form of a fine of two to 10 thousand minimum tax-free income of citizens (from 17 to 34 thousand UAH).
Note that law enforcement did not name the performers or the concert organizers. However, it is probably the Boombox group concert at the Malevich nightclub, announced on November 9 on the club’s Facebook page.
Organizers and artists have yet to comment on the incident.
Before that, the group’s representatives said that 40 days had passed since their last concert, and pointed out that they were going to perform in Lviv.
“It looks like we will be playing the last Boombox concert in 2020 on November 13. We think there is no point in explaining why,” the artists said.
