Ukraine is negotiating with the US company Pfizer on the supply of a coronavirus vaccine; An agreement will be signed soon, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said on air on Savik Shuster’s Freedom of Speech program.

He noted that the Ministry of Health is also in contact with all vaccine manufacturers that are in the final stage of clinical trials.

“In addition to the COVAX initiative, to which we are already connected, we are in talks and we are already in the stage of signing contracts with Pfizer, with another American company Moderna, Sinovac and Sinopharm,” Stepanov said.

Pfizer previously said that its COVID vaccine was more than 90% effective.

At the same time, it was reported that BioNTech and Pfizer’s COVID vaccine market entry was postponed for technical reasons.

Despite this, 600 million orders have already been placed for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
