Ivano-Frankivsk will not introduce weekend quarantine
The second regional center operated on weekends. And in the Dnieper they said they could not make a decision on quarantine, because the commission “got sick.”
The Ivano-Frankivsk authorities, following Lvov, decided to make workers on Saturdays and Sundays in November. The mayor of the city, Ruslan Martsinkiv, announced it on Facebook.
“Entrepreneurs must work. Therefore, according to the decision of the executive committee, Saturdays and Sundays until November 30 this year are working days on the territory of the Frankivsk OTG. We also appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers! to cancel the weekend quarantine and ask the law enforcement officers not to fine the employers who will work! ” – wrote Martsinkiv.

In turn, in Dnipro they found another reason not to introduce weekend quarantines. They said that the technogenic and environmental safety commission got sick and “does not have a quorum” to implement the Cabinet decision.
“It’s that the municipal TBES commission got sick. No, not with coronavirus. I just got sick and I don’t have a quorum. They are tired. And they can’t implement the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. Dear businessmen, have a good weekend “Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov wrote on Facebook.
He noted that he personally does not cancel anything, and called the government’s initiative “stupid.”
Filatov emphasized that Dnipro and the region in the statistics rank second from the bottom in terms of coronavirus incidence.
Note that several regional centers refuse to abide by the weekend quarantine rules, but cities as large as Kiev, Odessa and Kharkov have committed to abiding by the decision.. In response to this, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that mayors do not have the authority to authorize or prohibit the action of Cabinet decisions.
