The European Union representative for foreign policy said that Brussels is ready to introduce new sanctions against the leadership of Belarus in connection with the death of protester Roman Bondarenko. Deutsche Welle reports.

The actions in memory of the deceased protester continued until the evening. Many Belarusians, as well as Belarusian and foreign political figures expressed their condolences on social media. Opposition leader Svetlana Tihanovskaya called Roman Bondarenko a hero and his death a murder, which will be investigated.
Alexander Lukashenko also expressed his condolences. During an interview with the media, he said that the “Bondarenko case” is now under his personal control. The president asked government agencies to conduct a thorough investigation.
The Investigation Committee launched an investigation into Roman Bondarenko’s death and concluded that during the initial examination at the hospital, along with the bodily injuries, he was diagnosed with alcohol intoxication.
However, the doctors who examined Bondarenko deny these accusations. A medical report was published on the White Bathrobe Telegram channel that, among the list of numerous injuries to Bondarenko, indicates that the beaten had 0 ppm of ethanol in his blood.
As a reminder, on November 12 it became known that in In Minsk, at night, the protester Roman Bondarenko died, detained by the security forces in the “Square of Changes”. meHe was 31 years old, they took him to the Emergency Hospital.
