In Ukraine, after the launch of funded pensions, promised by the Cabinet of Ministers, the size of the second payment of the average salary, in the best case, will be 400 UAH.
Lidia Tkachenko, a senior researcher at the Institute for Demography and Social Research, told OBOZREVATEL in a comment about this. To get a 20-year pension, the ideal is to save twice as much time. Then you could count on a payment of 800 UAH. “We are not talking about a decent pension at all,” says Tkachenko.
According to the project for the launch of funded pensions, all working Ukrainians who have not reached a certain age will have to postpone (the figure is being discussed). At the same time, 4% of each salary will be taken. You will not have to pay more, this 4% will be taken away with taxes and contributions, which are already collected from salaries.
This innovation can also lead to an increase in the budget deficit of the Pension Fund (2% of salary will be taken from the social contribution) and a decrease in income to the budgets of the country and localities (2% will be taken from the tax to the rent).
As OBOZREVATEL reported, Ukrainians, according to the draft law for the launch of the second level of pension savings of the “Servant of the People” (No. 2683), will have to pay an average of 3% to 7% of monthly salaries.
In Ukraine, the minimum pension is one of the lowest in Europe. For several years, the payment has been calculated according to a reduced experience evaluation coefficient. For example, if you now take a well-deserved rest, with an average salary (about 10 thousand hryvnyas), then the size of the pension will be only 2.1 thousand hryvnias.
