The former first deputy chief of the SBU’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Semochko, won the court, which ordered journalists to refute information about his great financial situation and the Russian citizenship of his relatives.
This was reported by Bihus.Info, whose journalists have investigated. The court sided with the former official, who said only his son and wife were his relatives. At the same time, the court did not take into account his stepson, stepdaughter and son-in-law, who received Russian passports in occupied Crimea.
It is noted that the trial lasted more than a year, and in the summer of 2020 the judge was replaced and the new judge Yury Mazur made a decision on the case in a single session. He decided to refute the data on Russian citizenship and the property of Semochka’s closest relatives. At the same time, the court did not contest the presence of Russian passports, it simply did not accept them as evidence.
Because Semochko said that he classifies people as relatives only in the legal sense of the Family Code, therefore he only recognizes his wife and son as family, and the rest do not. That is, the information about their citizenship and property has not been disproved, but the court has denied all the information about them. just because Semochko doesn’t consider them related. It also follows that “for the company” the court denied the information about his wife, although Semochko recognized her as a family member, and the data about her property and passport are confirmed by the records of Ukraine and Russia, respectively. ” the post says.
We add that the court ruled on September 10 this year, but the journalists did not receive the documents until October 16. Likewise, Judge Mazur, without waiting for an appeal or becoming familiar with the decision, issued an execution order for the execution of the court’s decision, and a private contractor stopped the accounts of the channel, the presenter of the program Denis Bigus and the author of the story about Semochko Les Ivanova.
