The TECs were supposed to establish the voting results before November 6
Most TECs have already established the results of the local elections held on October 25, but in some TECs, the process is still ongoing, particularly in relation to court decisions.
The president of the Central Electoral Commission, Oleg Didenko, said that the vast majority of the territorial electoral commissions have already established the results of local elections, but in some TECs this process is still ongoing, in particular, due to judicial decisions. Didenko announced this during a CEC meeting on Wednesday, November 11, writes Ukrinform.
The head of the CEC pointed out that today the process of calculating the results of the elections to the regional councils in the Kiev and Chernivtsi regions is still underway. He added that the results should be established today.
In accordance with court decisions, some TECs continue to count votes. For example, at the Marganets City TEC for Mayor Elections. Also in the city of Krivoy Rog the official results of the mayoral and deputy city council elections have not been established.
According to Oleg Didenko, the court ordered the re-counting of votes in the city of Ovruch, Zhytomyr region, in the Kotsyuby TEC settlement, in the Kovalevsky TEC settlement in the Kiev region.
“Thus, those cases in which the process of determining the results has not yet been completed has an objective basis, in particular, the need to take into account the decisions of the courts, and is under the control of the Central Electoral Commission” , stressed the president of the Central Electoral Commission.
The next local elections in Ukraine took place on October 25. The territorial electoral commissions were supposed to establish the voting results before November 6 inclusive.
Let us remind you that the NSDC requires the results of the CEC elections.
We also add that more than 300 mayors have already been elected. The CEC determined the winners of the elections for the post of settlement chief in 492 settlements and 592 village councils.
