Golos People’s MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak proposed to begin collecting signatures for an extraordinary plenary session, in which Verkhovna Rada will consider a draft resolution on the resignation of Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.
The Golos faction called for the collection of signatures for the removal of Health Minister Maxim Stepanov after the “weekend quarantine” was introduced in Ukraine. This was announced on November 11 by the popular deputy of the “Voice” Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Facebook page.
“Our reaction to the weekend quarantine,” he said and posted a photo of the address to Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada spokesman Dmitry Razumkov.
The faction asks Razumkov to instruct to prepare forms for the collection of signatures for the holding of an extraordinary plenary session, in which the Rada will consider a draft resolution on Stepanov’s resignation.
On November 11, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to introduce a “weekend quarantine”. Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov explained that we are talking about three weekends, starting next weekend. Stepanov said the Health Ministry would like to introduce a strict quarantine for three weeks, but the Ukrainian economy will not tolerate it.
“Day off quarantine” states that from 00:00 on Saturday to 00:00 on Monday in Ukraine, only grocery stores, pharmacies, transportation, gas stations and veterinary pharmacies will operate. Restaurants, cafes or other catering establishments will operate take out only. “The weekend quarantine” will allow “stopping the wave of coronavirus disease,” Stepanov said.
