The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine may extend the so-called weekend quarantine, the decision on the introduction of which was made at today’s government meeting. The new quarantine format can be extended after November 30.

A source in the Cabinet of Ministers told RBC-Ukraine about this.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, the government today adopted a resolution for a period of three weeks, but with the possibility of an extension.

Please note that the weekend quarantine will operate from 00:00 hours on Saturday to 00:00 hours on Monday. At the same time, the government abandoned the adaptive quarantine and returned the restrictions nationwide. Now the entire territory of Ukraine will be in the “orange zone” of quarantine.

Recall that the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Maxim Stepanov, pointed out that the weekend quarantine will begin on November 14. Previously, the weekend quarantine would last until November 30.

In addition, the Ministry of Health said that it will be banned during the quarantine weekend and that it will continue to operate, despite the new restrictions.

As Stepanov explained, Ukraine’s medical system needs a three-week lockdown, but the Ukrainian economy cannot bear such a burden.
