Aliyev announced the end of the war in Karabakh
The Azerbaijani president called the conflict a “patriotic war” and added that Armenia “will pay compensation.”
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the end of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. He said this in a meeting with the military, Azerbaijani state television reported on Wednesday, November 11.
“The Patriotic War is over,” Aliyev announced.
According to him, Baku will attract international experts to assess the damage caused to the territories that have come under the control of Azerbaijan and will demand compensation through an international court.
“All material and moral damages, all destruction, will be registered and we will appeal to the international court,” says Aliyev, adding that the Armenian side “will pay compensation.”
Recall, on November 9, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, signed a joint declaration on the total cessation of hostilities in Nagorno- Karabakh. The Azerbaijani and Armenian parties will remain in their occupied positions and Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region.
