Joseph Biden intends to work on global issues
An American Democrat, likely the next head of the White House, discussed Ukraine with French and British leaders.
The US presidential candidate, who previously won the elections, Joseph Biden had telephone conversations with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, during which the issue of the war in eastern Ukraine was raised. This was announced on Tuesday, November 10 by CBS News.
It is noted that in a conversation with the French leader, Biden “showed his interest in improving bilateral and transatlantic ties, including through NATO and the European Union”, and also “expressed his willingness to work together on global issues, including security and development in Africa, conflicts in Ukraine and Syria, Iran’s nuclear program. “
During a conversation with Johnson, the Democrat addressed topics such as “containing the coronavirus pandemic and ensuring global health security; ensuring sustainable economic recovery; fighting climate change; strengthening democracy and working together in the Western Balkans and Ukraine.”
It was previously reported that the Ukrainian authorities closed the case against Biden, which was started at the request of former attorney general Viktor Shokin. The corresponding decree of the National Police is dated September 23 of this year.
At the same time, Shokin said that the criminal process against the American Democrat was carried out illegally, in connection with which he was going to challenge it in court.
