Apart from Democratic supporters, 60% of Republicans also believe that Biden is the next president of the United States.
Most American respondents believe that Democrat Joe Biden is the winner in the US presidential election, which took place a week ago. This is demonstrated by data from a joint Ipsos and Reuters social survey, published on Tuesday, November 10.
It should be noted that the survey was conducted from November 7 to 10 online. About 1.3 thousand people participated.
So, according to the poll results, 79% of those polled said that Biden won the presidential race. At the same time, 3% believe the winner is current President Donald Trump. Another 13% of those surveyed are sure that there are no final election results yet and 5% have refrained from responding.
Almost all of the Democrats surveyed supported their representative. Additionally, 60% of Republican Party supporters also confirmed Biden’s victory.
The poll also showed that 72% of US citizens believe the loser in the election should admit defeat, and 60% are confident that a peaceful transfer of power will occur when Trump’s term expires in January.
We recall that on November 3, general elections were held in the United States. According to the forecasts of the main media, Biden won the presidential race, who already announced it.
However, Trump did not admit defeat. He denounced fraudulent voting and announced a long legal battle.
