The national police closed the case against Biden for the firing of Shokin

The National Police shelved the criminal proceedings against Joseph Biden, who announced his victory in the US presidential elections, who in 2016 demanded that President Petro Poroshenko remove former Attorney General Viktor Shokin.

According to the interlocutor, the case was opened pursuant to a court decision of the State Investigation Office under art. 344 (Interference in the activities of a statesman) of the Penal Code.

The bureau subsequently redirected the process to the Pechersk National Police Department, which closed the case on September 23, 2020.

A photo of the order to close this case was also published. He points out that Shokin’s removal from the post of attorney general came at his request, which he himself confirmed during questioning.

Recall that in the recordings of the Poroshenko and Biden conversations, made public by the People’s Congressman Andriy Derkach, it is obvious that the former US Vice President lobbied to fire Attorney General Viktor Shokin.

Shokin himself in an interview with “Strana” stated that Biden demanded to fire him because the Attorney General’s Office was investigating the case against the company “Burisma”, where Biden’s son Hunter Biden worked.
