Yevheniya Kravchuk, deputy head of the ruling Servant of the People faction in Ukraine, advocated the introduction of a complete blockade in the country. This is reported by the “Observer”.
“Perhaps it makes sense to do a total lockdown for two weeks with compensation for losses to entrepreneurs, instead of extending for an unknown period a half-hearted regime that puts entrepreneurs in unequal conditions,” Kravchuk said. He also noted that two-thirds of the profits from cafes and restaurants are received on weekends.
On November 9, a weekend quarantine was introduced in Ukraine. Restaurants are only open on weekends and it is recommended that shopping and entertainment centers are closed.
That same day it was learned that the country’s president, Vladimir Zelensky, fell ill with coronavirus.
On October 19, Vladimir Zelensky named the condition for the introduction of a strict quarantine in the country. According to the head of state, a critical situation for Ukraine’s medical system will occur when the mark reaches 9.5 thousand infected daily. On November 10, 10,179 new cases of contagion were registered in the country.
