Armenian President Armen Sargsyan stated that he heard from the press about the signing of agreements on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. The document was signed by the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as the prime minister of Armenia.

This is stated in Sargsyan’s Facebook statement.

He noted that he was not consulted as with the president.

“I did not participate in any negotiations. The resolution of the Karabakh conflict is a matter of state importance. Any step, action, decision related to the vital security interests and rights of Armenia, Artsakh and all the Armenian people, especially the signing of the document , should be the subject of extensive consultations and discussions, “Sargsyan is sure.

He affirmed that he will immediately start political consultations to “agree on the solutions that arise from our agenda for the protection of national interests” as soon as possible. Sargsyan added that he expects this issue to be resolved in 10 days.

It should be remembered that the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, announced on November 9 that he had signed a “difficult decision for his people” regarding the end of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh.

After that, protests began in Armenia. At night, the protesters took over the government and parliament buildings and also beat the speaker of the parliament.

It was also reported that the Prospera Armenia opposition faction intends to convene an extraordinary session of parliament to consider the issue of Yerevan’s withdrawal from the Karabakh accords.
