Protesters near the Armenian parliament building in Yerevan beat the President of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan

Near the Armenian parliament a confrontation took place between the protesters and the guards of the speaker of the parliament Ararat Mirzoyan. At that time he himself was in the car.

Residents of Armenia, unhappy with the decision to end the war in Nagorno-Karabakh, beat up the speaker of the republic’s parliament Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan. Sputnik Armenia reported on this on Tuesday, November 10.

As the Arminfo newspaper writes, Mirzoyan was in the car with the children. An ambulance arrived at the scene, but for some time the doctors were unable to get close to the victim.

Later, News.am reported that the Speaker of Parliament was in the hospital.

“Ararat Mirzoyan is hospitalized. He has injuries. Fortunately, there is no threat to his life,” said the Prime Minister of the Republic, Nikol Pashinyan, during a live broadcast on Facebook.

The prime minister also spoke about the state of the politician, adding that the victim is now undergoing surgery.

“Some scum hit Ararat Mirzoyan. Now he is undergoing surgery, nothing threatens his life,” he said on Facebook.

Recall, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a declaration to end the war in Nagorno-Karabakh.
