Why such assumptions arose
- On November 4, the Kharkov City Territorial Electoral Commission declared Kernes mayor of Kharkov. He won the first round with a score of 60.34%, leading the city for the third time.
- However, Kernes spent the election race in hospital. First he was in Kharkov, and then in the Berlin clinic “Charite”. He was brought there due to the exacerbation of chronic diseases as a result of the coronavirus.
- During the past two months, rumors about Kernes’s death have been raised regularly. But, according to data from the Kharkov City Council, he is alive and well.
- By the way, he was last seen in public on City Day, August 23, 2020.
Note! Subsequently, the press service of the National Police withdrew the message from the website and social networks.
