The People’s Servant Party candidate, Anatoly Gunko, officially won the Verkhovna Rada by-elections in District 208. Gunko will become the people’s deputy in place of the late Valery Davidenko.

This was reported by the press service of the Central Electoral Commission.

21,245 voters voted for Gunko. It bypassed the former people’s deputy Oleg Lyashko, who also ran for the Rada in this district.

In total, 18 candidates for people’s deputies registered for the by-elections to the Rada. Among them was the wife of the deceased people’s deputy, Lyudmila Davydenko.

We will recall that today the Central Election Commission announced that the announcement of the official results of the by-elections to the Rada in district 208 in the Chernihiv region was delayed due to the trial. Following the court’s decision, the CEC planned to call a meeting and announce the results.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, the CEC processed 100% of the District 208 protocols on October 28. The protocol data showed that Gunko won the by-elections with 34.10% of the vote, and his main rival Lyashko received 31.78% of the support of the voters.

We add that 50.03% of voters participated in the by-elections to the Rada in district 208 in the Chernihiv region.
