During the day, the Armenian side suffered severe losses of manpower and military equipment, according to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

The Armed Forces of Armenia abandoned their positions in the direction of Khojavend in the Nagorno-Karabakh combat zone. This was reported by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry on Monday morning, November 9.

As they say in Baku, as a result of the offensive “heavy blows were inflicted on the enemy.”

“In this direction from the front, damage was inflicted on enemy positions. The enemy, who suffered heavy losses, fled, leaving some lines,” the statement said.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry cited video footage as evidence.

Furthermore, combat operations continued in the Agderinsky, Agdam and Gubadli areas of the front.

According to the Ministry of Defense, “a large amount of manpower was destroyed and rendered useless in 24 hours”, a T-72 tank, a D-30 cannon, a mortar team and a truck with ammunition.

The department assured that “the operational situation is under the control” of the Azerbaijani army.

Let us remind you that on November 8, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced the capture of the city of Shusha in Karabakh by the Azerbaijani army.

In turn, Yerevan did not confirm Aliyev’s words, but the Defense Ministry asked the Armenian troops to believe.
