Medvedev became the winner of the Paris Masters

On Sunday, November 8, the final of the Masters took place in Paris.

In the fight for the title, Daniil Medvedev of Russia (# 5 ATP), after losing the first set, beat Alexander Zverev of Germany (# 7 ATP).

Zverev and Medvedev played the seventh game full time, this is only the second victory for the Russian. Previously, he beat Zverev in the final of the Shanghai Masters.

For Alexander it was the seventh final of the Masters (3 wins), for Medvedev, the fourth (3 wins). Both fought for the title in Paris for the first time in their careers.

Thanks to this victory, Medvedev will surpass Roger Federer in the ATP rankings and will rise to fourth place. Zverev will also slightly improve his position in the world rankings, ahead of Stefanos Tsitsipas, who will have points deducted for last year’s victory in the Final Tournament.
