Quarantine may be strengthened in Ukraine
The Ukrainian authorities are preparing quarantine changes, according to which they plan to introduce quarantine on weekends, hours to care for the elderly Ukrainians and other restrictions.
The government of Ukraine is discussing a new draft resolution regulating quarantine during the coronavirus epidemic. According to the document, ministers are preparing to abandon color zoning and introduce major restrictive measures on Saturdays and Sundays. This was announced on Sunday, November 8 by the RBC-Ukraine agency.
It is noted that the country’s territory will no longer be divided into “red”, “orange” and “green” zones and restrictions will be imposed on them.
Instead, across the country, authorities plan to introduce a weekend quarantine, hours to serve Ukrainians over 60, as well as a host of other restrictions.
So, they intend to add points to the document, according to which the ministers can prohibit:

massive events with the participation of more than 20 people. For events with up to 20 participants, the organizer must ensure that the distance between the participants is at least 1.5 meters. It is allowed to hold sports events of national teams and teams of Ukraine in Olympic, non-Olympic and team sports;

the work of cinemas and theaters with more than 50% of seats in the room;
-
the work of museums that cannot limit the number of visitors in the room at the rate of 1 person per 10 square meters;
-
passenger transport in urban, suburban, rail and international transport in more than the number of seats. At the same time, the carrier is assigned control over the supply of masks to drivers and the availability of masks for passengers;
-
discos, night clubs and restaurants with leisure activities;
-
catering work after 22:00 and until 07:00 (except home delivery and take away);
-
place visitors in restaurants at a distance of less than 1.5m between seats at adjacent tables and more than 4 people at the table (excluding children under 14, provided visitors enter the institution and move with masks);
-
the work of establishments in which there is no signage to stay in line with a distance of at least 1.5 m; the workers do not have masks; there is no centralized collection of used protective masks;
-
the operation of institutions that provide accommodation services, other than hotels;
-
activities of institutions that provide accommodation services, except hotels;
-
visiting educational institutions in groups of more than 20 people, except kindergartens and school institutions;
-
visit kindergartens and schools, if more than 50% of children and staff are in isolation.
In addition, according to the agency, visits to places of temporary detention of people, temporary residence points of foreigners, as well as to homes for the elderly and other internees will be prohibited. In addition, fitness centers and gyms will be forced to close, which will not limit the number of visitors in the room at the rate of one person for every 10 square meters.
It is proposed to cancel the planned hospitalizations, except in cases such as complications during pregnancy and childbirth; assistance to cancer patients in specialized departments; palliative care in the hospital; the transfer of hospitalization threatens the life and health of the patient.
In addition, the Cabinet plans to introduce the weekend quarantine from 00:00 hours on Saturday to 00:00 hours on Monday. At this time, they can ban:

reception of visitors in bars, restaurants and cafes;
-
the operation of the shopping and entertainment center and the reception of visitors in other entertainment establishments;
-
reception of visitors for objects in the field of commerce and consumer services. In addition to grocery stores, gas stations, commercial establishments of hygiene products, veterinary drugs and feed, as well as pharmacies; provision of financial services, activities of financial institutions, collection and transportation of monetary values; medical and veterinary practice; Food service and delivery station;

the work of cultural institutions and the realization of massive cultural events, except the filming of films and videos;
-
work gyms, fitness centers, swimming pools.
On Saturdays and Sundays, it is proposed that wholesale and retail business facilities, service stations, post offices, insurance activities and others set the period from 10:00 to 12:00 as visiting hours for Ukrainians over 60 years old.
Recall that during the last day in Ukraine 9,397 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. 138 people died.
