Quarantine in Ukraine: Cabinet of Ministers proposes to cancel zones and restrictions over the weekend

The Cabinet of Ministers is preparing changes to the resolution regulating quarantine in Ukraine. It is proposed to abandon the colored quarantine zones and introduce major restrictions on Saturdays and Sundays.

The corresponding project, which is still being discussed in the government, is at the disposal of RBC-Ukraine.

Restrictions across the country

It is proposed to remove from the resolution the clauses governing the division of Ukraine into “red”, “orange” and “green” zones. Additionally, quarantine restrictions will no longer be tied to zones.

Instead, throughout Ukraine during the quarantine period, in addition to the current restrictions on masks, self-isolation, etc., they also want to ban:

  • massive events with the participation of more than 20 people. For events with up to 20 participants, the organizer must ensure that the distance between the participants is at least 1.5 meters. It is allowed to hold sports events of national teams and teams of Ukraine in Olympic, non-Olympic and team sports;
  • the work of cinemas and theaters with more than 50% of seats in the room;
  • the work of museums that cannot limit the number of visitors in the room at the rate of 1 person for every 10 square meters. meters;
  • passenger transport in urban, suburban, rail and international transport in more than the number of seats. At the same time, the carrier is assigned control over the supply of masks to drivers and the availability of masks for passengers;
  • discos, night clubs and restaurants with leisure activities;
  • catering work after 22:00 and until 07:00 (except home delivery and take away);
  • place visitors in restaurants at a distance of less than 1.5m between seats at adjacent tables and more than 4 people at the table (excluding children under 14, provided visitors enter the institution and move with masks);
  • work of establishments in which:
  1. there is no signal to stay in line with a distance of at least 1.5m;
  2. the workers do not have masks;
  3. there is no centralized collection of used protective masks.
  • the operation of institutions that provide accommodation services, other than hotels;
  • activities of institutions that provide accommodation services, except hotels;
  • visiting educational institutions in groups of more than 20 people, except kindergartens and school institutions;
  • visit kindergartens and schools, if more than 50% of children and staff are in isolation.

It is also proposed to prohibit scheduled hospitalizations, except for complications during pregnancy and delivery; assistance to cancer patients in specialized departments; palliative care in the hospital; if the transfer of hospitalization threatens the life and health of the patient.

Fitness centers and gyms are not supposed to be able to function, which cannot limit the number of visitors in the room at the rate of 1 person per 10 square meters. meters.

Likewise, it will be prohibited to visit places of temporary detention of persons, temporary residence points for foreigners, as well as residences for the elderly and other internees.

Weekend quarantine

In addition, in addition to 00:00 on Saturday to 00:00 on Monday on the territory of Ukraine during the quarantine period, it is proposed to prohibit:

  • reception of visitors in bars, restaurants and cafes;
  • the operation of the shopping and entertainment center and the reception of visitors in other entertainment establishments;
  • reception of visitors for objects in the field of commerce and consumer services. In addition to grocery stores, gas stations, commercial establishments of hygiene products, veterinary drugs and feed, as well as pharmacies; provision of financial services, activities of financial institutions, collection and transportation of monetary values; medical and veterinary practice; Service station and food delivery.
  • the work of cultural institutions and the realization of massive cultural events, except the filming of films and videos;
  • work gyms, fitness centers, swimming pools.

Watches for seniors

At the same time, it is proposed that business entities establish a visiting period from 10:00 to 12:00 hours for Ukrainians over 60 years of age. This applies to wholesale and retail objects, service stations, post offices, insurance activities, etc.

We will recall, earlier, Justice Minister Denis Malyuska said that Ukrainians will not be fined for the lack of masks on the street.
