EU leaders and NATO congratulated Joe Biden on his victory in the US presidential elections, calling for greater cooperation between his country and the European Community. “The European Commission is ready to intensify cooperation with the new administration and the new Congress,” said the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

The president of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, in his congratulations to Biden, called for a “resurgence of transatlantic relations” to counter the “multiple challenges” currently facing the United States and the EU.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he hoped relations between the United States and Europe would improve with President Biden.
“America’s leadership is more important than ever in an unpredictable world, and I look forward to working closely with President-elect Biden, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, and the new administration to further strengthen ties between North America and Europe.” Stoltenberg said.
Remember, the American presidential candidate of the Democratic Party Joe Biden managed to obtain 270 votes in the electoral college, which are necessary to win the elections.
Joe Biden has excelled in most of the key states. So far, this does not mean an official victory, since the electoral college will elect the president of the United States only on December 14.
According to CNN, 273 voters voted for Joe Biden, while only 213 voted for Donald Trump.
