Lukashenka announced his readiness for concessions amid ongoing protests
The demand for new presidential elections in Belarus is one of the main demands of the opposition and the West.
The holding of new presidential elections in Belarus is possible if the majority of citizens support it. This was stated by Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko at the inauguration of the third metro line in Minsk, Liga reported.
“Well, despite the day. Some of us demand new elections. I guarantee you new elections when you make a decision. I guarantee it,” Lukashenka said.
We will recall, earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that he did not intend to leave the country in the event of a change of power.
As previously reported, the European Union imposed personal sanctions against Alexander Lukashenko, his son Viktor and 13 Belarusian officials.
