All information on where the fund’s money was spent can be found on the Ministry of Finance website, says Shmygal.

The State Audit Office has begun an audit of the COVID-19 Fight Fund. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal during the government question hour in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday 6 November.

“As for the funds that were spent from the Fund to Fight Coronavirus and its Consequences: all these figures can be found on the website of the Ministry of Finance in the state boards, which are constantly updated. In other words, all the information on the Fund is absolutely transparent and open, continuously updated. , and every citizen of Ukraine can get acquainted with it every day … There is no secret where the funds are used. Furthermore, an audit of the so-called coronavirus fund has started by the State Audit Service of Ukraine, “Shmyhal said.

He added that UAH 10.4 billion from the Fund went to support the unemployed, sick leave payments for doctors, payments to families of private entrepreneurs who stopped their activities during the quarantine. In addition, infrastructure construction projects worth UAH 19 billion were financed. In particular, according to Ukravtodor, the construction of large roads helped attract 38,000 workers and create more than 120,000 jobs in related industries.

We will recall that earlier Shmygal named Ukraine’s GDP losses for ten years. Ukraine has suffered significant losses due to unrealized potential, said the Prime Minister.

Shmygal also spoke about the weekend quarantine. This initiative is currently under discussion, the government has no consensus on its implementation, according to the prime minister.
