The inadmissibility of working without the provision of a PCR test after the closure of sick leave is a lawsuit. This was announced by the Vice Minister of Health – Chief Medical Officer of the State of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko.

A large number of Ukrainian company bosses do not allow employees who have recovered from COVID-19 to work without providing a negative PCR test. This was announced on 5 November during a briefing by Ukraine’s chief state sanitary doctor, Viktor Lyashko, a correspondent for the “GORDON” publication reports.

According to him, employers require a test after closing the sick leave.

“Today I want to tell everyone that this is contrary to current legislation. The closure of sick leave can occur for three reasons, which are detailed in the standard of care for patients with coronavirus disease. First, 10 days pass after the first symptoms appear. During these days there are three days in which there are no symptoms. This is the basis for a family doctor to transfer a person to the convalescent category and close the sick leave, “Lyashko said.

The second reason, which was cited by the chief health doctor, is that after a positive result of the PCR test, 10 days passed, of which there were no symptoms of the disease for three days. This is also the reason for closing sick leave.

And the third one is getting a negative PCR test result.

“These three factors are the same and the family doctor determines how to close the hospital. Therefore, when it is closed, there should be no bullying. We can safely admit people who have been ill to the team,” emphasized the medical director from the country.

He noted that there are scientifically proven data, World Health Organization recommendations, and a Ministry of Health standard, stating that if one of the three criteria is met, COVID-19 one person cannot infect other people.

During the last 24 hours in Ukraine COVID-19 confirmed in a record number of people – 9850, as announced on November 5 by the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov. In total, 430,467 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Ukraine since the beginning of the epidemic. 7,924 COVID-19 patients died, 184,782 people were cured.
