Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said Ukrainian authorities are not yet going the way of several European countries that have reintroduced strict restrictions due to COVID-19.
Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denis Shmygal told a government meeting on November 4 that a harsh blockade will be introduced in the country if the situation with the spread of the coronavirus continues to worsen, the GORDON correspondent reports.
“We all see that many countries in Europe and the world are closing for a second strict lockdown. France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Czech Republic have already introduced strict restrictions. Even though these are countries with medical systems and resources very powerful. We are not going to follow this path and introduce a blockade for the entire country. But if we see a further deterioration of the situation, then, in fact, this will force the government to resort to tougher restrictions, “stressed the Chief of Staff .
“Ukrainska Pravda” on November 3, citing informed sources in the Cabinet of Ministers and the Office of the President, reported that strict quarantine in Ukraine could be introduced as of next week.
An outbreak of coronavirus infection began in late 2019 in China. March 11, 2020 World Health Organization declared the spread of the coronavirus a pandemic.

As of July, depending on the epidemic situation in the regions or in individual territorial units set the level “green”, “yellow”, “orange” or “red” epidemic danger from the spread of COVID-19 (each level has its own quarantine restrictions).
