There are two from Kazan a year. The summer, July 21, is dedicated to a wonderful phenomenon in Kazan. And the fall – November 4 – in memory of the events that occurred in Russia.

It was on November 4, 1612, when the people’s militia, organized into the army by Kuzma Minin and Dimitri Pozharsky, drove the Polish invaders out of central Moscow. In front, the men wore the Kazan icon of the Mother of God. They think it was she who helped people. In Russia, in honor of this event, a state holiday is celebrated – the day of national unity.

Ukrainian believers honor the Kazan icon of the Mother of God. It was she who from time immemorial was given to a pregnant woman for the delivery to come successfully. Then the image was placed in the crib of the newborn, to protect it from the evil eye, diseases and everything bad. The icon of Kazan was presented to the newlyweds for the wedding, so that the family would live healthy, in love and prosperous.

November 4 is a solemn day. It is customary to go to church services early in the morning. After her, our ancestors organized a procession with the cross in their settlement with the Kazan icon of the Mother of God. The goal is for her to avoid the tragedies and suicides of sin, except drought and floods. In the second half of the day they set the table, have a delicious dinner and drink wine. Wedding festivities are encouraged.
