On the Ukrainian Telegram segment, there were messages about the death of the mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes. “Strana.ua” writes about it on its Telegram channel.
There is no official confirmation of this information yet. At the same time, the head of the press service of the Kharkiv City Council, Yuriy Sidorenko, denied the rumors about the death of the politician. “Don’t be fooled by all the idiots,” he said.
On November 3, Kharkiv’s First Deputy Mayor Igor Terekhov announced that Kernes, who won the local elections, was preparing to return to Kharkiv. It was reported that the politician will record a special video message on the occasion.
Earlier it was learned that Kernes, infected with the coronavirus, is recovering. In mid-October, Sidorenko said that the information about the mayor’s deteriorating health does not correspond to reality.
On September 17, Kernes flew to Germany aboard a Bombardier Challenger 604, which had arrived from Nuremberg. Before that, the politician was diagnosed with a coronavirus. According to Sidorenko, Kernes was loaded onto the plane in a special “anti-cape” capsule. The politician was not connected to a fan and was constantly conscious.
Kernes confirmed infection with the virus and the resulting bilateral pneumonia, but denied reports of cerebral edema or coma. Now the mayor of Kharkiv is in the Berlin clinic “Charite”.
