The results of the vote in the small town of Dixville Notch in the state of New Hampshire, which opened the US presidential elections, are known.
According to CNN, Democratic candidate Joe Biden received five votes in Dixville Notch, while incumbent President Donald Trump received zero.
Voting ended a few minutes after the start, the same number of ballots were processed.
Traditionally, in this locality, citizens have the right to vote around midnight local time, that is, several hours before the opening of polling stations in other parts of the United States.
Presidential elections are held in the United States on November 3. In 2020, the main contenders for the presidency of the White House are Republican Donald Trump, the current head of state, and Democrat Joe Biden, former senator and vice president during the presidency of Barack Obama.
Additionally, more than 95 million people have already voted early.
According to the forecasts of sociologists, about 150 million Americans can vote in 2020, which represents almost 65% of the total population of the country.
