RRB deputy director position is vacant
Babikov’s dismissal was demanded by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, in particular by its director, Novikov.
The deputy director of the State Bureau of Investigation, Alexander Babikov, resigned from the Bureau. This was announced on Tuesday, November 3, by the RBC-Ukraine agency.
“Yes, indeed, Babikov has been fired,” a police official confirmed to the agency.
It should be noted that the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption demanded the dismissal of Babikov. Thus, the head of the NAPK, Alexander Novikov, announced a conflict of interest with the former lawyer of the fugitive president Viktor Yanukovych as deputy head of the RRB.
As a reminder, Babikov held a senior position in the Office since January 2020. So the public organization Hero Families of the Celestial Hundreds He opposed this appointment, but Attorney General Irina Venediktova assured that there would be no conflict of interest.
