The Uzhgorod Mayor’s Office did not comply with the order of regional authorities to expand the number of beds for coronavirus patients to 50% of the total available volume.
In this situation, the Uzhgorod mayor’s office is to blame for not complying with the decisions of the regional authorities, according to the Transcarpathian regional state administration.
Hospitals in Uzhgorod designed to treat COVID-19 patients are 100% full. This was announced on Monday, November 2 by the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
According to the Regional State Administration, the Uzhgorod mayor’s office is to blame for this situation, which does not follow the decisions of the regional authorities. Specifically, on October 21, the autonomous state administration forced the mayor’s office to expand the number of beds for patients with coronavirus to 30% of the total available volume, and on October 30 to 50%.
These decisions have not been carried out today and are being sabotaged, stressed the regional administration of the state.
As a result, on Saturday, a Uzhgorod resident died while being transferred to the Vinogradovskiy Regional Hospital because no additional beds were allocated in Uzhgorod.
The Transcarpathian Regional State Administration has officially submitted a request to the regional prosecutor’s office for an investigation to be carried out to determine those responsible for the death of a resident of Uzhgorod.
As reported, Uzhgorod and 10 other regional centers entered the coronavirus quarantine “red” zone according to updated epidemiological risk criteria.
