Former Moldovan Prime Minister Maia Sandu took the lead in the country’s presidential elections. He surpassed the incumbent of state Igor Dodon in the first round of the presidential elections after counting 98.04% of the protocols of the polling stations. Sandu is reported to have won 34.39% of the vote to Dodon’s 34.11%.
The Central Election Commission has already processed all the protocols of the country’s polling stations, data is expected from the United States and Canada, where voting is still ongoing in the polling stations.
