In the second round of the elections, the current mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, and the deputy of the people of European Solidarity, Oleg Sinyutka, were the mayor of Lviv.
The second round of elections for the mayor of Lviv will be held on November 22, the head of the city’s territorial electoral commission, Igor Slipetsky, told the public on November 1.
According to the TEC, the current mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, and the people’s deputy for European Solidarity Oleg Sinyutka received the most votes. They will participate in the second round of the elections.
Sadovy, according to the results of the processing of 100% of the ballots 90,812 votes (39.96%), Sinyutka – 70504 votes (31.03%).
Ruslan Koshulinsky ranked third with 9.74% of the vote.
In total, 17 candidates ran for the post of mayor of Lviv.
On October 25, local elections were held throughout Ukraine, except for annexed Crimea and the occupied regions of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The citizens of Ukraine elected city, village and municipal heads, as well as deputies from regional, district, city, village and village councils. For the first time, the elections were held under the new Electoral Code, according to the proportional system with open lists. According to the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, participation was 36.88%.
Sadovy has been the director of Lviv since 2006.
