Opposition supporters who do not agree with the results of the parliamentary elections began to gather in the center of the Georgian capital, Tbilisi. Representatives of opposition parties also attended the protest action.

Protesters are gathering under the Georgia Parliament building, now they have blocked traffic along Rustaveli Avenue. Although the opposition behaves peacefully, there have been no clashes with the security forces.

Let us remind you that parliamentary elections were held in Georgia yesterday. According to the preliminary results of the vote, the ruling party “Georgian Dream” wins and the opposition force “United National Movement” comes second.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, the opposition has already announced its intention not to recognize the election results and called on its supporters to come out to protest against the actions.
Furthermore, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili refused to run as an opposition candidate for prime minister.
