The daily increase in COVID-19 patients in the Russian Federation amounted to 18 655 people, this is the maximum figure for the entire epidemic, according to RBC.
November 1 became the third day in a row that the daily increase in infections per day exceeded 18,000. The previous record was on October 30, when 18,283 people fell ill.
Against the backdrop of rising morbidity, the Kremlin acknowledged that the national health system is experiencing an acute shortage of doctors.
In total, since the start of the epidemic, the coronavirus has been detected in 1,636 million Russians.
Most of the new COVID-19 cases were detected in Moscow (5,261), Saint Petersburg (896) and in the Moscow region (545).
Recall that during the last day in Ukraine, 7959 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 110 patients died, 2513 recovered.
