In Quebec, a stranger killed passersby

In the historic center of the Canadian city of Quebec, a stranger attacked passersby. City police confirmed to Radio Canada on November 1 that the attack killed two people and injured five more.

According to the radio station, the attacker is a man in his 20s. On Saturday night he attacked bystanders in different parts of the city center, so it was not possible to stop him immediately. He was reported to be wearing “medieval clothing”.

The offender has already been arrested and is in hospital. The motives for his attacks were not disclosed.

Police are asking city residents to stay home.

This is the second melee attack in two days in the province of Quebec. On October 30, in Montreal, an unidentified man armed with a knife was shot and killed by a police officer while on his way to a patrol car.

In French Lyon on Saturday, an attacker wounded an Orthodox priest with a firearm when he was closing a church.
