The cost of gas for the population of Ukraine at the end of September reached the level of the previous year.
Oil and natural gas prices in the context of the OPEC + agreement and the recovery in economic activity this year have grown slowly, the NBU said.
Gas prices in Europe will be moderate for the next two years. This is confirmed by the monthly analytical review of the National Bank, published on Friday, October 30.
According to the NBU forecast, in 2021 the average price of gas will be about $ 150/1000 m3, the price of Brent oil – $ 45-50 per barrel.
Oil and natural gas prices in the context of the OPEC + agreement and the recovery in economic activity this year have grown slowly, the NBU said.
However, large accumulated reserves and uncertainty about the sustainability of the global economic recovery were holding them back.
The reactivation of economic activity will support the rise in energy prices during the projection horizon, which, however, will remain moderate due to the increase in shale production, believes the National Bank.
Due to the resumption of growth in world energy prices and the end of special obligations, the cost of natural gas for the population of Ukraine reached the level of the previous year at the end of September.
As a reminder, NAK Naftogaz from Ukraine increased the price of gas for residential customers by 34.7% in November compared to October, to 6.33 UAH / m3 including VAT and excluding distribution costs.
