The earthquake in Turkey occurred at 1:51 p.m. in Kiev. The epicenter was in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Izmir province. It was previously known that the country’s tourist cities, including Antalya, were not affected.

Some Turks were more fortunate: cupboards were opened in their offices and houses, groceries and dishes spilled from kitchen cupboards, chandeliers on the ceilings vibrated.
The tremors were reflected not only on land, but also in the sea, in whose depths the earthquake occurred. As a result, a tsunami occurred: the water flooded residential areas.
On the Greek island of Samos, a famous sanctuary, the Church of the Virgin Mary, has been partially destroyed.
In other countries, where milder tremors were felt, no damage was reported.
Very often, the inhabitants of the Odessa region feel the earthquake in Turkey or Romania. So, for example, the last time was in April 2020. The current tremors miraculously overtook Ukraine.
The last powerful earthquake in the world occurred in Mexico in June: two people died and many buildings collapsed.
As for Turkey, the last time a more serious, magnetic 6.8-point earthquake occurred in January. Then more than fifteen hundred people were injured, about forty citizens died.
