On Saturday night, Alexander Usyk will return to the ring and continue his journey to the top of the heavyweight division against tough British veteran Derek Chisora.

Just over a year ago, Usyk made his debut in the heavyweight division and quietly defeated little-known boxer Chazz Witherspoon, who was found to replace just a couple of days before the fight. But that fight hardly gave an answer to the question of whether Usyk is ready for a new weight for himself. Derek Chisora is a real test for a Ukrainian.
Chisora has never been a star of the first magnitude, but she has extensive experience fighting for the championship title with the likes of Vitali Klitschko, Tyson Fury and David Haye. And although Chisora used to lose against the best rivals, it managed to put his nerves on edge. For example, with Vitali Klitschko in 2012, he defended all 12 rounds
Usyk is an obvious fight favorite, but he hasn’t entered the ring for over a year yet and it’s not entirely clear what to expect from him. The title is definitely a contender for the WBO champion title. And Alexander is unlikely to take a chance and look for the head of an opponent. Usik scored most of his victories by points or by knockout in the later rounds. This was the case for Murat Gassiev, Maris Briedis, Marko Hook, Michael Hunter and Krzysztof Glovacki. That is, with almost all really strong opponents. Therefore, there is confidence that it will not be easy for Usik with Chisora either, and the Briton deserves at least the tenth round. It will not guess or bet on a full battle or early victory, but will simply take the total of rounds plus (9.5)
