The judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Igor Slidenko, wrote a letter of resignation. The claim is in the Constitutional Court.

He said this at a briefing in Kiev.

According to him, the resignation letter was written on October 8.

“On October 7 they called me and told me that I was misbehaving. On October 8 I wrote a letter of resignation. Therefore, I have a moral right to speak about these things (court pressure – ed.). in court, it must be considered by the court. ” , – he said.

At the same time, Slidenko refused to say who called him and pressured him, but noted that the call was from the Office of the President.

“The essence of these problems is the following. Last December I went abroad, I came back on January 4, it was the weekend. On January 8, I went to work and asked for a paper to enter my salary. They brought it to me on the 9th, I entered these data. I formally broke the law, but I couldn’t get them in on time. I gave testimony to the NAPC, but they said that these testimonies are not adequate ”, explained the judge.

Let us remember that yesterday the Presidency announced its intention to replace all the judges of the Constitutional Court with decisions on electronic declaration.

Today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a proposal to end the powers of all judges of the Constitutional Court.
