The terrorist who attacked people in Nice with a knife is a Tunisian native who came to France via Lampedusa. Le Figaro reported this with reference to a police source on Thursday, October 29.
According to the publication, the forward is a 21-year-old Tunisian named Brahim Aouissaoui. The man did not seek refuge in France, he arrived in Europe via Lampedusa at the end of September. There he was quarantined by the Italian authorities before receiving the order to leave Italian territory and release him. It has been on French soil since the beginning of October.
At the same time, according to some judicial sources, his identity has not yet been officially confirmed. Investigators only have one document from the Italian Red Cross given to Brahim Awissaoui.
Earlier today it became known that in Nice a man was beheading people in a church. The number of victims of the Nice attack has risen to three. The man killed two victims inside the Cathedral of Our Lady.
