CCU decision: Razumkov announced the reaction of Rada and Zelensky

Razumkov spoke about the CCU’s decision

Rada will finalize anti-corruption legislation to keep the system running, Razumkov says.

President Volodymyr Zelensky will react soon to the decision of the Constitutional Court, and the Verkhovna Rada will finalize anti-corruption legislation to improve existing mechanisms. This was stated by Rada Chairman Dmitry Razumkov during a working visit to Germany on Thursday, October 29.

The pressure is unacceptable on any branch of government, says the speaker of parliament.

“But if we proceed from the anti-corruption reform, it is more than important for the State … You see the reaction of our foreign partners. It is, to put it mildly, quite serious. And the achievements that have been achieved over several years … I say and on NABU, and on SAP, and on the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court: these are all small but important steps in the fight against corruption, “Razumkov emphasized.

“I am sure that there will be a quick response from the parliament and the president. And we are going, at the legislative level, to fine-tune the mechanisms that exist today, so that the system continues to function,” added the president of the Rada.

Let us remember that previously, the judges of the Constitutional Court in closed session declared the criminal responsibility for inaccurate declaration unconstitutional. Subsequently, the EU reacted to the decision of the Constitutional Court on declarations. The Delegation of the European Union recalled that financial assistance to Ukraine was related to the activities of anti-corruption bodies.

Already today, the media reported that due to the Constitutional Court, Ukraine may lose visa-free travel. The European Commission was given reasons to suspend the visa-free regime with the EU for Ukrainians, according to diplomatic sources.

The director of the NABU announced the closure of about 100 cases due to the decision of the Constitutional Court
