The money from the COVID Fund will be sent to the filming of the television series.

The government has authorized the use of “coronavirus” funds for the production of patriotic series.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allowed spending money from the Fund to Combat COVID-19 in certain stages of the production of patriotic series. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

“This will make it possible to use more effectively the 100 million UAH allocated for the creation of this socially important audiovisual content and support for the film industry in the context of the coronavirus crisis,” the Ministry of Culture said.

In the previous decree of the Cabinet of Ministers on this issue, it was indicated that the funds should be used to film serials by the end of this year.

“Therefore, it became necessary to contemplate the possibility of its use not only to cover the production costs of the entire television series, but also to support the implementation of certain periods (stages),” explained the Ministry of Culture.

Previously, the Cabinet of Ministers donated money from the program for cancer patients to the road.

Likewise, the head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction David Arahamia explained why money from the COVID Fund was spent on roads.
