A few days ago, a petition asking the president to submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on the liquidation of the Kiev District Administrative Court received the required amount of 25 thousand votes.

The author motivated such appeal by the need to immediately guarantee the right of citizens to a fair trial, and also, citing the text of the petition, evidence of “deep-rooted corruption in the court and the practice of unfair decisions,” he says. the message.

The Presidency pointed out that the procedure for the formation and liquidation of courts is clearly regulated at the legislative level.

“According to the second part of article 125 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the court is formed, reorganized and liquidated by law, the draft of which is submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by the President of Ukraine after consultations with the Higher Council of Justice, “the statement said.

At the same time, it is noted that the Superior Council of Justice is an important state element and has every opportunity to formulate its position on the situation with the UASC.

“The president proposes to initiate the necessary consultations with the Higher Council of Justice to develop a transparent and correct procedure that allows resolving the matter of the District Administrative Court of the city of Kiev and alleviating some tension in society regarding this situation”, the statement said.

Let us remind you that on October 26, OASK decided to remove NABU Director Artem Sytnik from his position.

At the same time, the Kiev District Administrative Court gave Sytnik one month to step down as director of NABU.

It was previously reported that the Ministry of Justice would not comply with the OASK’s decision, since it stated that there was no authority and legal basis for these changes. The department was recommended to modify the Unified Registry of Legal Persons of the State based on the aforementioned decision of the CCU.
