KSU announced pressure
According to them, the judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine have been under pressure from anti-corruption bodies and some politicians for a long time.
The judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on Wednesday October 28 wrote an appeal to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov and Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, in which they announced prolonged pressure from anti-corruption bodies.
The appeal says politicians are also trying to influence the court’s work.
The court claims that for several months it has been under pressure from the National Anti-Corruption Agency (NAPC), the National Anti-Corruption Office (NABU), as well as some politicians.
“Unlawful influence is exerted on both individual judges and the court as a whole with the aim of stopping their work, undermining authority and losing public trust,” the statement said.
It is also noted that “despite accusations of prejudice and prejudice, the dissemination of compromising information on the professional activities of judges and threats regarding their criminal prosecution,” the court will continue to work independently and in the “interest of the Ukrainian people. “
Let us remember that on the eve of the judges of the Constitutional Court behind closed doors, criminal responsibility for inaccurate declaration was declared unconstitutional.
The Verkhovna Rada warned that the decision made by the CCU threatens Ukraine with a great international scandal.
And the Office of the President said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy will definitely use his right to legislative initiative to restore responsibility for violations in the electronic declaration of income of officials.
