The main reasons for the crash of the An-26 plane, which took place on September 25 in the Kharkiv region and killed 26 people, were systemic violations of flight rules at the university and insufficient professionalism of the crew.
This was announced by the head of the commission, the Deputy Prime Minister for Strategic Industries Oleg Urusky during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, October 28.
“The first danger factor that caused the event, which later led to the plane crash, was the failure of the PRT-24 system of the left engine control system, which at 20 hours 36 minutes 5 seconds resulted in a special situation “, He said.
Thus, according to the results of the investigation by the government commission, the reasons for the plane crash were:
- Take off by conveyor belt (6 consecutive flights were made);
- failure of the engine control system;
- violation of the planned flight schedule;
- systemic violations of flight rules;
- insufficient professional training of the crew during an emergency.
According to Urusky, the government commission has prepared a series of proposals to prevent similar plane accidents in the future.
In addition, all the material prepared by the government commission will be transferred to the forces of order, which continue today to carry out investigative actions to identify the direct perpetrators of this terrible tragedy, and send the materials to the court to identify the perpetrators, added the deputy prime minister.
It should be remembered that 26 cadets died in the An-26 plane crash. One person who was on board that day survived.
As we previously reported, the commission revealed the presence of serious violations, both in the conduct of flight missions and in the organization of flights in general.
